U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, on an official visit to Moldova, today was received at the State Residence by the Moldovan leadership, headed by President Nicolae Timofti, Parliament Speaker Igor Corman and Prime Minister Iurie Leanca.
President Nicolae Timofti participated in events dedicated to the National Day of Romania in Bucharest on 1 December.
Timofti, along with Romanian President Traian Basescu laid flowers at the Triumph Arch, - monument evoking the sacrifice of the heroes who accomplished the national unity of Romania.

President Nicolae Timofti today signed decrees appointing the deputy heads of the Moldovan State Protection and Guard Service, Iurie Rachicinschi and Oleg Ciobanu.
Timofti underlined that the performance of the institutions in the law and national security sector was extremely important for Moldova’s advancing on the European integration path, and urged to meeting the commitments Moldova had taken before the EU.
