The Head of State noted that the Moldovan authorities were perfectly aware that they must fulfil the commitments taken before the European partners.
President Toomas Hendrik Ilves said that the progress made by the Moldovan authorities within the Eastern Partnership programme had given clear prospects for the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the European Union.
The head of state will have a tête-à-tête meeting with the president of Estonia Tomas Hendrik Ilves, on Wednesday, 4 October. After the meeting both heads of state will take part in official talks with participation of Moldovan and Estonian delegations.
The EU Commissioner said that the reformation of justice and fighting corruption represented the main test for the Chisinau authorities in aligning to the European Union’s standards.
The head of state welcomed the presence of European officials in the Republic of Moldova, noting that this visit fits into a string of support actions on behalf of the European Union for Moldova’s European aspirations.
The decree signed by the president states that Nicolae Bulat was awarded for outstanding achievements in the development of museology, contribution to safeguarding the national cultural heritage and prodigious methodological, organizational and exhibitional work.
During the reunion, Margareta Timofti shared her experience on the support of state institutions and non-governmental organizations involved in autism awareness activity.
