The participants in the meeting adopted, by consensus, the document, which is to be submitted to the government to be given the final touches and afterwards - to parliament for final approval.
“Strengthening the banking system and recovering the embezzled funds will be a positive signal both for the citizens and the principal development partners of Moldova,” the head of state added.
CSS President is Nicolae Timofti, President of Moldova and supreme commander of the Armed Forces. The Secretary of the Council is the presidential adviser on defence and national security, Alexei Barbaneagra.
The officials adopted a decision containing a string of recommendations meant to enhance the financial and banking security and mitigate the impact of rates' increase on the residents.
Under the decree, Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, President Nicolae Timofti is the CSS head. The advisor to the president on defence and national security issues Alexei Barbaneagra is appointed as Secretary of the council.
International experts that were involved in the elaboration of a similar document in Romania, Sweden, Albania and Georgia will provide methodological support to our Security Strategy.
