Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
On August 27, 2025, Independence Day, at the invitation of President Maia Sandu, Chișinău will host the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, the Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, and the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk.
Together with President Maia Sandu, the three leaders will deliver joint press statements at the Presidency and later address citizens during the Independence Day concert, organized in the Great National Assembly Square.
On August 31, 2025, Romanian Language Day, Romanian President Nicușor Dan will arrive in Chișinău.
Through their presence, European partners reaffirm their trust in the Republic of Moldova and their support for the country’s European path.
Journalists are invited to the Presidential Palace on August 27, between 15:00 and 15:30, for the welcome ceremony starting at 16:00 The joint press statements will follow at 16:50. Access will be provided through the Maria Cebotari Street entrance, based on accreditations. The program for August 31 will be announced at a later date.
