Ladies and gentlemen, Distinguished guests, Dear friends of Moldova, It is my pleasure to welcome you to Chisinau and to be part of the XIX Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts.
Chancellor Scholz, Members of the press, Thank you for the warm welcome in Berlin. It’s a privilege to stand alongside Germany—a key ally in Moldova’s journey towards stability, democracy, and prosperity.
Commissioner Johannes Hahn, Dear Moldovans, dear Europeans! Christ is Risen! Welcome to the European City we are opening today, in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau, together with the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Delegation of the European Union in Chisinau.
Commissioner Hahn, Minister Lahbib, Distinguished guests, It is an honor to be standing before you today in Brussels, the very heart of the European Union. I can assure you that the European heart beats stronger than ever in my country, Moldova, as we pursue accession.
Dear President Macron, colleagues, members of the media, it is a pleasure to be back in Paris. France, and President Macron, personally, are amongst Moldova’s closest supporters. France has stood firmly with us on security matters since Russia’s unprovoked invasion of our neighbour Ukraine.
Dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen, Thank you for the opportunity to address this distinguished EPP forum. And thank you, Partidul Național Liberal, and EPP President Manfred Weber for hosting us today. We have gathered here at a momentous turning point.
