Klaus Iohannis invited Nicolae Timofti to pay an official visit to Romania. The Moldovan head of state accepted the visit, which is to take place in the near future.
At the swearing-in ceremony, Nicolae Timofti conveyed the following message...
I appeal to the parliamentary majority and the prime minister-designate to take into account the civil positions from Moldova and the citizens' opinions, in the procedure of compiling the action programme and list of the government, as well as in the one of the cabinet's voting in parliament.
The president’s decision was based on the parliamentary majority’s proposal signed by 55 MPs.
Under the presidential decree, Ion Paduraru is authorised to compile the action programme and the list of the cabinet and present them to parliament for consideration in a 15-day period.

The officials submitted Timofti a petition signed by 55 MPs in support of the Democratic Party’s (PDM) first deputy leader, Vladimir Plahotniuc’s candidature for the position of prime minister.
