President Nicolae Timofti releases judge from office

President Nicolae Timofti signed a decree on the release of Nicolae Nogai from the office of judge of the Bender-based Court of Appeal, at a proposal by the Superior Council of Magistracy, given the delivery of the final judgement of conviction.

The Balti-based Court of Appeal issued a decision ,according to which Nicolae Nogai was found guilty of knowingly delivering a judgment contrary to the law, resulting in serious consequences, an offense provided for in the article 307 paragraph (2) letter c) of the Criminal Code of Moldova.
