"This help has come just when we most need it, and this proves that Romania is a reliable friend of our country," said President Timofti.

At his part, the head of the Romanian government said that Romania is and will remain a sincere supporter and advocate of Moldova's European perspective, but reforms must continue, so that Moldova should remain on the European agenda. "Before receiving this first tranche, the Government had to demonstrate that it is able to make reforms. And I hope that our support of European funding will reopen the European financing way for Moldova ", said the Romanian PM.
The talks also focused on the rapid advancement of the stages in completing the interconnection of the European energy market of Moldova. Prime Minister Ciolos said in the context, that there are Romanian businesses interested in investing in Moldova, including the energy projects.
